Locked out of house? Our damage-free entry, explained
Being locked out of house situations rarely happen at a convenient hour. Groceries melting on the porch, kids waiting in the car, or a slammed door in a gust of wind off the Santa Margarita hills — we have seen them all. When you call our emergency locksmith line, we ask a few questions to pinpoint your hardware (standard door knob lock, deadbolt, or mortise lock) and your location, then dispatch the nearest mobile technician so travel time across RSM stays short.
On arrival, the first thing we do is verify you have the right to enter the property — a driver's license matching the address, a lease, or another reasonable proof. This protects you and your neighbors. From there, our skilled technicians use professional, non-destructive tools designed to open the specific lock type without harming the door, frame, or finish. For most pin-tumbler and deadbolt setups, damage-free entry is the norm; stuck, corroded, or broken mechanisms occasionally require more work, which we always explain first.
If a key snapped off in the cylinder or the lock has failed internally, we can extract the broken piece and, in many cases, cut a fresh key or rekey the lock on the spot from our van. You never have to leave your home exposed waiting on a second visit. Locked out with no key at all? We can still get you back inside and then talk through replacing or upgrading the hardware if it's past its prime.
